• #### Effectiveness of capacity rationing heuristics in make to order environment

(Inderscience Publishers, 2015)
This paper investigates the effectiveness of a dynamic capacity-rationing heuristic for order acceptance and rejection in a capacitated make-to-order manufacturing environment. The heuristics developed for managing capacity ...
• #### A toll pricing framework for traffic assignment problems with elastic demand

(Springer, 2001-12)
This paper extends the notion of toll pricing and the toll pricing framework previously developed for fixed demand traffic assignment [4, 13] to the problem with elastic demand. The system problem maximizes net benefit to ...
• #### A genetic algorithm metaheuristic for bakery distribution vehicle routing problem with load balancing

(2011-05)
In this paper, we analyze a distribution problem at a bakery company in Istanbul, Turkey. The bakery wants to distribute products with the available fleets of trucks, while maintaining balance in workload between different ...
• #### Sustainable single-machine scheduling problem with reliability and energy consumption

(Curran Associates, Inc., 2011-12)
In this paper, a multi-objective model is proposed to minimize energy consumption and total completion time, and to maximize reliability on a single machine. In this problem, jobs arrive over time, and their release dates ...

(2001)
• #### A nonlinear approach for integrated marketing-economic production quantity problem

(2010-12)
Pricing is a key activity in determining any firm's profit in a supply chain due to the competitive nature of markets. Consequently, modeling the relation between marketing and manufacturing departments in a manufacturing ...
• #### Visit length in pediatric primary care: lessons from a pilot study

(Greenbranch Publishing, 2013-05)
As business drivers create pressure to see more patients in a given period, there is no reliable guidance regarding the optimal allocation of resources in ambulatory visits. Many pediatric primary clinics set appointment ...
• #### Active learning in supply chain management course

(2015-06)
This paper presents an active learning approach implemented in the Supply Chain Management (SCM) course. In this course, the fundamentals of supply chain and logistics, drivers of supply chain performance and analytical ...
• #### Hospital patient-care and outside-the-hospital energy profiles for hemodialysis services: report of two cases

(John Wiley & Sons Inc., 2015-06)
Studies investigated the patient-care (in-hospital) and outside-the-hospital energy consumptions for delivering the hemodialysis (HD) service. A life cycle inventory methodology was used for this patient-based analysis for ...
• #### Integrated maintenance and production planning with energy consumption and minimal repair

(Springer, 2014-10)
In this study, we analyze an integrated production-preventive maintenance planning problem where product processing times are affected by machine degradation. Preventive maintenance and repair can return the degraded ...
• #### A sustainability approach for selecting maintenance strategy

(Taylor & Francis, 2013-03)
Appropriate maintenance can prolong the life of an asset and prevent costly breakdowns that may result in lost production, failed shipping schedules and a decline in customer satisfaction. The goal of this study was to ...
• #### A fuzzy multicriteria generation expansion planning model

(Inderscience Publishers, 2011)
In this paper, we present a fuzzy multi-objective model for power generation expansion planning problem with uncertainty in objective functions and demand balance constraints. The purpose of the fuzzy generation expansion ...
• #### Single-machine sustainable production planning to minimize total energy consumption and total completion time using a multiple objective genetic algorithm

(IEEE-INST Electrical Electronics Engineers Inc, 2012-11)
Energy is an expensive resource that is becoming more scarce with increasing population and demand. In this paper, a mathematical model to minimize energy consumption and reduce total completion time of a single machine ...
• #### Single-machine sustainable production planning to minimize total energy consumption and total completion time using a multiple objective genetic algorithm

(IEEE Technology Management Council, 2011-11-18)
Energy is an expensive resource that is becoming more scarce with increasing population and demand. In this paper, a mathematical model to minimize energy consumption and reduce total completion time of a single machine ...
• #### Environmental impacts of healthcare services: delivery of x-ray services

(IEEE, 2011-05)
• #### An ant colony optimization algorithm for load balancing in parallel machines with sequence dependent setup times

(Elsevier, 2010)
This study introduces the problem of minimizing average relative percentage of imbalance (ARPI) with sequence-dependent setup times in a parallel-machine environment. A mathematical model that minimizes ARPI is proposed. ...
• #### A new dominance rule for the total weighted tardiness problem

(Taylor & Francis, 1999)
We present a new dominance rule for the single machine total weighted tardiness problem with job dependent penalties. The proposed dominance rule provides a su cient condition for local optimality. We show that if any ...
• #### A new lower bounding scheme for the total weighted tardiness problem

(Elsevier, 1998)
We propose a new dominance rule that provides a sufficient condition for local optimality for the 1∥∑wiTi problem. We prove that if any sequence violates the proposed dominance rule, then switching the violating jobs ...
