Description
This letter was written from the vessel which was to sail immediately from Boston for Halifax with the British Minister. Nichols states that General Dearborn received orders from the government to prepare a vessel for that purpose. Also the government had at length ratified the decree of Bonaparte, ''that war in fact exists between the United States and Great Britian.'' Other topics regarding the War of 1812 are discussed.
