Description
A financial document written in French and signed by a notable early St. Louis figure, G. Cerré (Jean Gabriel Cerré), dated June 19, 1808; a list of articles sold from the property of Henry Biggs dated April 27, 1808 which includes the total of $319.55; a receipt for full payment from Thomas Williams, dated July 1808; a bill due note from Jacque Clamorgan for the amount of $150.00, dated December 17, 1808; a handwritten note in French referencing Thomas Wiliams, dated January 21, 1808; and a promissory note from Webster to Hays for the amount of $80.00 totaling $84 to be paid on ''the last day of December 1808,'' dated November 8, 1808.
