Description
Camp on the battlerfield near Richmond, June 7, 1862: Nicholas Plass of the 2nd Regiment, Excellsias Brigade, informs his friend Cooper that fighting has been bitter. He has seen men die all around him. His unit is entrenched and when the ''Rebs'' attack his position they are cut to pieces by artillery.
