Dee Gist, a member of Alpha Tau Sigma sorority, was chosen from a group of six candidates. p. 1 -- Bill Costello. p. 1 -- Pi Alph princess: The princess arrives in her modern coach. Barbara Starck is escorted from the car by Hugh Livingston, president of Pi Alpha Pi fraternity, to the Allis Hotel Ballroom, where she was named Pi Alph Princess for 1951. Barbara Starck is a pledge of Pi Kappa Psi Sorority. p. 2 -- Mr. Joe College: Larry Lallement was chosen the typical college man on the campus and was awarded the title 'Joe College' by Pi Kappa Psi sorority at their annual Christmas dinner dance. The dance was held at the Lassen Hotel December 27. Joe College Lallement is the president of Alpha Gam fraternity. His date is Marilyn Schmidt, an alum of Kappa Psi sorority. p. 3 -- The flag of world peace: Wichita University's Reserve Officers Training Corps possesses the first United Nations flag to be presented to an ROTC unit in the United States. It was given to the unit by the Wichita Junior Chamber of Commerce last fall. Displaying the flag is (left to right): Cadet Col. John L. Walker, commanding officer of Scabbard and Blade; Cadet Lieut.-Col. David Marteney, commanding officer of Pershing Rifles, and Cadet Maj. James Grant, commanding officer of Arnold Air Society. p. 4
