In any job shop environment, material handling scheduling is a difficult problem due to the flow pattern of multiple products in Uni and Bi directions. To handle this environment, agent based manufacturing system are developed. This paper presents two new methods based on priority and queue to schedule and to manage material handling system. The approaches aim to increase both efficiency and productivity, which can be measured through Average Tardiness.
