Abstract
The following chapters will be a study of the novels within the skeleton of James Fenimore Cooper’s Leather Stocking Series. By this, it is meant that the novels included in the series will be individually examined in an attempt to determine the Fundamental characteristics of these novels. Ideas, themes, plats, conflicts, characters, and settings must be carefully evaluated in such an attempt.
