Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to promote a better understanding
among the races by acquainting them with the many
worthwhile contributions which the Negro has made to American
culture. Through this understanding will come, we hope, a
deeper respect for the Negro; also the desire and the determination
to build a better world.
