Abstract
An investigation of a dual engine drive to one propeller is presented. Two engines, one on each side of a common gear box and separated from it by clutch assemblies, provide the energy for the extension shaft. This shaft drives the propeller shaft through a set of spur reduction gears. The engines are connected to the common gear box in any combination through a clutch action.
