The massacre is dramatized in the University Theatre play, "A West Wind Rises," which is now in rehearsal. Asst. Prof. Bruce Cutler, author of the poem on which the play is based, used this event in Kansas history as the basis for his poem. p. 1 -- East meets west: Mrs. Jacoby, center, a Jewish widow, smiles as Mr. Asano, a Japanese industrialist, explains the customs of Japan in Community Theatre's production, "A Majority of One." p. 1 -- Dr. Robert J.
