After snow had fallen steadily Monday morning, University students and faculty began to fear that the campus would see a repetition of last year's big snow which finally ended February 18, 1938. The fact that the storm arrived in Wichita nearly on the anniversary of the Big Storm of '38 added to the novelty of the occasion. The group pictured above were photographed as they slipped, slid, and struggled around the campus Monday evening reliving the danger of having traffic tied up and transportation impossible. p. 1 -- [Vivian] Melcher. p. 2 -- [Paul] Randalls. p. 2 -- Uncaptioned photograph accompanying article about Clark Ahlberg. p. 2 -- Choice sorority pledges: Campus sororities recently announced the above freshmen coeds as their best all around pledges. They are, from left to right, Norma Webb, Pi Kap; Betty Solomon, Kappa Rho; Neva Sue Reinhart, Alpha Tau; Imogene Kincade, Sorosis, and Harriet Porter, Delta Omega. p. 3
