The contest is a preliminary for the Miss Kansas beauty pageant to be held later this summer. p. 3 -- Name change: Mrs. Lora Hutchinson (left), class of 1919, hands coupling hook to Jack Shane, president of the Alumni Association, doe [sic] final installation of new sign. p. 6 -- Largest class: A record number of 1,111 students wear [sic] graduated from Wichita State during the June 1 exercises. p. 7 -- President's handshake: Dr. Clark Ahlberg congratulates Sum Cum Laude Joyce Anne Greene. p. 7 -- Brains and beauty: Karen Dill, Miss KAKELand 1969, was graduated Magna Cum Laude. p. 7 -- Fahrbach assists governor: Gov. Robert Docking is assisted by Dean Carl Fahrbach and President Clark Ahlberg before the ceremony. p. 7 -- Lady trapshooter: Michaele Nunn, 18-year-old WSU coed proudly displays 27 trapshooting trophies and two silver services she has received.
