Description
Transcription of diary penned by Henry Wendelken, a Union soldier in the U.S. Civil War. A member of Company B, 39th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, Wendelken wrote entries from January 1 to June 29, 1863, while he served in the Western Theater of the Civil War around Tennessee and Mississippi. He mainly describes marches, drills, camp routines and weather conditions.
