Abstract

Curing is the cross-linking of polymer chains, which results in toughening of polymer material and it is widely used in bonded composite repair for aerospace components. The main objective of this project is to analyze Cycom 5320 8HS epoxy resin prepreg (the repair "patch") curing data according to different models for the identification of reaction kinetics. Validation of the autocatalytic model has been confirmed for the analyzed curing process.
