Abstract

How to cope with the whirlwind of changes with no additional staff or money? The small cataloging unit seeks the answer on this familiar question in its organizational culture that includes a “team” and “hierarchical” components. Both cultures are considering as the internal resource which can be directed to fulfill the growing demands for services from cataloging clients. The presentation clarifies the roles of “team” and “hierarchical” cultures in the process the initiation, development, and implementation of new cataloging services into daily operations as well as their usage for special projects.
