Abstract
Table of Contents
On September 9 and 14, 1983, an archaeological survey of two proposed projects for the City of Memphis, Hall County, Texas, was conducted. The first of these is the 31 acre solid waste diposal site (Survey A). The second is a proposed 18 acre addition to the existing municipal park and includes parts of a small lake proposed for the park. No archaeological sites or other cultural resources were found in the park addition, and no additional work is recommended for it. One prehistoric site (41-HL-9) was found on the west edge of the proposed solid waste disposal site, and if the area will be subject to disturbance, some limited testing to determine site significance is recommended.
