The above picture was taken of a former Homecoming fire. p. 1 -- Diane Welsh. p. 1 -- Student council every Monday evening at 6 meets in the redecorated Board of Regents room in the Ad Building. Shown (left to right) during meeting Monday night are Pat Basom, Frances Spaulding, Russel Watson, Max McGuire, Ted Poulson, Doran O'Neal, Larry Jones, Joan Harris, Paul Curry, Anita Dinsmore, Sara Goeller, and Gynith Giffin. Council member Ron Summers was not present. Miss Spaulding, Miss Dinsmore, McGuire, Poulson, and Summers were elected to the council two weeks ago. p. 1 -- Checking a poster for the forthcoming Independent Students' Association Benefit Ball are (left to right) Tom Poulson and Rosalyn Newport, in charge of ticket sales for the dance; and Annesley Hopkins, chairman of the dance committee. p. 3 -- Dr. F. The squadron is the Wichita chapter of the national air science fraternity, Arnold Air Society. p. 8 -- Scene of Homecoming game Saturday: Veterans' Field, located on the north side of the University of Wichita campus, will be the site of the annual Homecoming football game with Oklahoma A. and M. The stadium will seat around 10,000 spectators. p. 9 -- Bob Carlson, University of Wichita football coach, will direct the Shockers in their Homecoming football tilt with the Oklahoma Aggies. p. 10 -- Wichita's Wheatshockers listen to Coach Bob Carlson as he gives them pointers on the Oklahoma A. and M. Cowpokes. The Aggies will meet the Shockers Saturday night in Veterans' Field. p. 11
