After being without housing facilities during most of last year, the fraternity, under the leadership of President Ed Kessinger completed final arrangements for the purchase of their new home last week. p. 1 -- Wheaties Queen candidates: Selected by their respective organizations as candidates for Wheaties Queen, to be chosen by members of the football squad and honored at the first all-school rally tonight in the university auditorium are from left to right - Kay Corbett, Alpha Tau Sigma; Mary Jo Struve, Pi Kappa Psi; Betty Alford, I.S.A.; Carol Whitehead, Epsilon Kappa Rho; and Levetta Bolan, Sorosis. Not pictured is the Delta Omega candidate, Betty Anderson. p. 1 -- Shocker coach: Primed and ready for tomorrow's opening clash of the 1941 football year with Southwestern, head coach Al Gebert is planning great things for his Shocker eleven this season. With one of the best home schedules in history, local fans may expect to see Gebert's winning ways in action during 1941. p. 1 -- Higginson. p. 2 -- New secretary: Miss Betty Van Arsdale, who formerly attended school here, has been named new secretary of the downtown division of the university with headquarters at Third and Topeka Streets. p. 3 -- Pledge presidents: These nine freshmen will head their respective pledge classes and direct their activities throughout the first semester.
