Description
This collection contains the scrapbook of Isobel Nevins Whitney's experiences as a student at the Municipal University of Wichita from September 1927 to May 1931. She performed with the university orchestra under Thurlow Lieurance while studying violin at Brokaw Studios and was a Sorosis member and a stage performer, participating in plays and a Hippodrome quartet. Scrapbook is comprised of newspaper clippings, recital programs and snapshots. Clipping about forced resignation of professors dates from spring 1935.
