Abstract
The objective of this thesis is to ·present a method by which any given fatigue S-N curve can be converted into a single mathematical expression-a formula--which conveys the same information as the original curve. The reasons why such a transformation is more than a simple problem in curve fitting, and the reasons for the desirability of such a transformation are explained herein.
