Standing, left to right, are: Jimmie Lee, assistant desk editor; Gifford Booth, Jr., Sunflower business manager; Edwin Thomas, Sunflower Editor-in-Chief; Mark Watson, assistant sports editor; Stanford Waddell, Parnassus business manager; Merle Millham, advertising manager. Several members are not pictured. p. 1 -- Wins award: Miss Ila Banta, who as a reward for four year's [sic] outstanding work in the journalism department, has been named winner of the 1935 Gouldner journalism award. p. 1 -- Transportation Queen: The army sees double as it pauses with Miss Emery the Wichita Transportation Queen, who will christen the 30 new buses which will serve Wichita in the near future. Miss Emery, Alpha Tau Sigma, was selected by the Sunflower editors. p. 2 -- Sorority presidents: Pictured here are the presidents of the campus sororities for the next semester. At the top are Miss Lorene York, Epsilon Kappa Rho, Miss Katherine Templeton, Sorosis, and Miss Mary Alice Thomas, Alpha Tau Sigma.
