Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not the freshmen, who entered Friends University in 1962, had the same number of units of English, foreign languages, mathematics, and science as the freshmen, who entered the University of Kansas in 1962. It has been commonly assumed by many educators that church-related colleges and/or small colleges have drawn students from entirely different educational backgrounds than large universities or colleges; and, consequently, a student might have taken a different number of units of the aforementioned courses.
