Abstract
Purpose of the study. This study was undertaken in an attempt to determine what effect a new reading instrument would have upon the reading efficiency of aphasoid children with known language problems and deficiencies. Since aphasia represents an extreme on the continuum of communicative and language dysfunction, it was hoped that any light of further knowledge shed upon the reading processes of this most severely affected group of children would be beneficial, not only to the children involved directly in the study and others like them, but also to children less severely affected.
