Abstract
The research problem of this thesis is to examine the
,role of the art teacher, his education, and his role in the
development of the aesthetic in the student.
The hypothesis of the problem is that the teacher with
significant experience in art activity may better motivate
his students toward more significant involvement in the
aesthetic process. The quality of the student' s involvement
with the creative expression of ideas is related to
the art teacher's understanding of art experience gained
through involvement in art experiences.
The procedure I have followed in the solution of the
problem 1s based upon materials read, discussions with
fellow art teachers, and the experiences I have acquired
through training and teaching activities.
