Abstract
It was the purpose of this thesis to present the development of the strain-gage calibration theory using calculus notation. The development or the theory using matrix notation is included for comparative purposes. To provide continuity in the discussion of the strain-gage method for obtaining structural load measurements, the procedure for converting the in-flight recorded loads to net loads and air loads is presented in Appendix A.
