Abstract
The purpose of the present study is an attempt to formulate educational changes for the Chinese schools. A need has also long been felt for a comprehensive and systematic presentation to Western nations of the essentials of China' s educational system-both as a contribution to a better understanding of our educational problems in China and as an invitation to criticize and aid in solving them.
