The active drive will end tomorrow. p. 1 -- [Joe] Redmond. p. 1 -- Schnug is ill: George Schnug, '39, is critically ill in the hospital of Chicago University where he is attending law school. He is believed to be suffering from complications from an acute appendix operation he had when stricken in a debate tournament at Denver two years ago. p. 2 -- Gleason at Washburn: Douglas Gleason, '39, was named president of the collegiate division of the Kansas Young Republican Club at its annual convention Saturday at Topeka. He is now a law student at Washburn. While attending the University, he was president of his senior class and of the campus Young Republican Club. p. 2 -- Party chairmen complete plans: Headlining events for the week-end [sic] will be the novel dances to be given by two campus organizations. Ross Dennison, left, is the chairman of the Pi Alpha Pi social committee which has charge of the "Hobo Party" to be held at the Crestview Country Club tomorrow night. Marjorie Sawtelle, right, is completing arrangements for the Aesculapius dance which will be held in the Henrion Gymnasium Saturday night. p. 3 -- Stars of Gorilla team: Jim Adams and Don Sturdy, Pittsburg stars, led the Gorillas to victory over Wichita in their first meeting, and will oppose the Shockers in their last game on Saturday night. p. 4 -- [Hugo] Voth. p. 4
