Description
News paper clipping entitled ''Opposition Convention,'' March 26, 1855, held in Harrisburg at the Hall of the House of Representatives. People were appointed for various positions and committees. Several resolutions were made, including condemning the Missouri Compromise and affairs in Kansas and Nebraska, opposing the extension of slavery into territory once consecrated to freedom, opposing government interference in the affairs of foreign nations, and opposing the division of the School Fund.
