Abstract
It was the purpose of this investigation to submit ten of the metal salts of benzohydroxamic acid to both thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential thermal analysis (DTA) in an attempt to establish their decomposition -behavior, and thus to determine their applicability to gravimetric analysis. The compounds to be considered in this study include the barium, strontium, magnesium, cadmium, zinc, lead, chromium(III), mercury(I), mercury(II), and potassium salts as well as benzohydroxamic acid itself.
