Description
Letter from Alice Badger to her aunt, Eveline Hayward, dated May 10, 1874. She writes that the school is closed, although there are private schools for children but Charlie, Henry, and Winnie will have home schooling. Alice Badger and Mrs. Gay did not join others eating under a tree with the ground for a table and they visited the ''Big Tree.''
