Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the distribution,
thickness, and character of all the preMissourian
sedimentary rocks in Decatur County, Kansas;
to differentiate and/or correlate between certain horizons
which may or may not be present over the entire area,
as, for example, the granite wash, Reagan sandstone,
Pennsylvanian basal conglomerate, Cherokee sandstones
and Marmaton sandstones; and to develop criteria which
may be useful to distinguish between the various sedimentary
rocks present.
