Banner at Kansas Theater, 221 East Douglas, announcing defiance of blue law by opening for business on Sunday, July 12, 1931. Previous Sunday declared by county attorney as last for "non-essential" movies. Marquee advertises "Many a Slip" movie starring Lew Ayers and Joan Bennett.
