Description
Portrait of Homer T. Harden posed with a camera mounted on a tripod. His image appears to be superimposed on a view overlooking Douglas Avenue. This photo promotes Harden's interest in commercial photography. Activity in the street scene includes automobiles, pedestrians, and a streetcar. A header card on top of the streetcar reads "College Hill/Union Depot." The view is looking west toward the Broadview Hotel. Other business signs visible on the north side of Douglas are: Holland Theater (118 East Douglas), Braitsch Shoe Company (120 East Douglas), Jones-O'Neal Shoe Company (126 East Douglas). Also in view, Fourth National Bank (202 East Douglas), and the Winne Building (210 East Douglas).
