A method is developed to predict the non-linear effects of oleo strut landing gears with the aid of a digital computer. The method is applied to two illustrative examples. The first example is a proposed articulated oleo strut landing gear. The results obtained, using computer studies, are used to determine the feasibility or manufacturing such a landing gear. The second example is presented to illustrate that this technique can predict, quite accurately, test results. This latter example is used to support the validity of the analysis.
