In his welcome to the fall 2019 semester message, Provost Rick Muma highlighted accomplishments of last year, such as progress on the 2018-2019 priorities, further development of WSU strategic plan; overall growth of 4.7% enrollment, addition of new degree programs, certificates and badges; hiring new deans, directors, and faculty. He also mentioned continuing efforts to increase the representation and advancement of women and minorities in academic science and engineering careers and progress made in achievement of this important goal.
