Description
This license, signed by the King of Spain and countersigned by Juan Varga Salazar, grants membership in the Order of Santiago to Averado de Medici. It includes the following statement: ""According to the rules of the Order of Santiago whose trusteeship I hold in perpetuity by authority of the Knights and Knight Commander of the said Order, no Knight may remain as such unless he holds a license from the Grand Master or from one as trustee administrator and the Knight Berardo [sic ] de Medicis of the said Order, who is already in the service of the Duke of Florence has beseeched us to grant him the license.""
