Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to present some of the ideas presented by L. Pontrjagin in chapter three of his book Topological Groups, but relaxing the conditions necessary for a group and considering topological loops. The thesis is divided 'into three main parts: the first introducing and defining the topological loop along with listing a few of its properties. The second part deals with the subloop, normal subloop and the factor loop. The last part defines isomorphism, automorphism, and homomorphism and gives several results concerning these concepts.
