Abstract
With archaeological dates of >30,000 supporting human presence in the New World, there emerges the possibility that ~ sapiens may not have been the first human occupant in North America. The possibilities for Homo erectus as the original candidate for peopling of the New-iOrld is explored in this paper. Problems of chronological entry, routes of entry, archaeological evidence, skeletal evidence, and migration rates are discussed in this overview. Special attention focuses on the early claims of >30,000 years B.P. for man's presence in the New World.
