Description
Images show the book's front cover, spine, title page, several pages of the text, including the first and last pages, and back cover. John Whitgift's book was part of an ongoing theological argument between defenders, like himself, of Anglican tenets and those, like Thomas Cartwright (T.C.), who espoused Puritan teachings. Whitgift addressed each point that Cartwright wrote in A Second Admonition to the Parliament. Whitgift's book was instrumental in his garnering support from Queen Elizabeth and helped create the structure of the Anglican Church.
