Description
Newspaper article in Wichita Eagle, April 28, 1926, listing Fairmount College buildings to comprise new Municipal University of Wichita. Buildings are Fiske Hall, President's home [present Delta Upsilon fraternity], Carnegie [Morrison] library, Henrion Gymnasium, society [fraternity and sorority] houses and the administration building [Fairmount Hall]. In special election held April 24, 1926, Wichita’s citizens voted in favor of accepting Fairmount College as gift and transforming it into municipal university.
