    Abstract
    There is an extensive amount of literature available regarding selective activation of the VMO .It is because of this vast volume of literature on the topic of selective recruitment of the VMO that controversies exist in this area. Consequently, the purpose of this article was to provide a current review of the literature regarding selective activation of the VMO and recommendations for inclusion in a rehabilitation program.
