    Preston Ware Orem (1865-1938), American author, composer and pianist, associated with the Indianist movement in American music. He is listed as Fairmount College faculty artist in the Wichita State University Libraries catalog. Orem's most popular piano composition "American Indian Rhapsody" contains reference to the music of the Cheyenne, Kiowa, Sioux, Chippewa, Pueblo, and Cree tribes. This work is based on themes recorded and suggested by Thurlow Lieurance.
