Abstract
Tourism is characterized by people searching for valuable information in unfamiliar surroundings. Recent advances in indoor and outdoor wayfinding systems that complement satellite-based systems provide many opportunities to assist tourists with their information needs. This work introduces a wayfinding system called CityGuide that provides various auxiliary location-based services (ALBSs) for people with diverse abilities. This work examines how such auxiliary location-based services can enable various useful applications for tourists.
