dc.description.abstractThe survey of public school bands and orchestras in the state of Kansas has been made to determine and evaluate the statue of the instrumental music program of the public schools in this area of the United States. Instrumental music has been taught in the public schools of Kansas for approximately twenty-five years, and it can be analyzed and surveyed in regard to its place and future in the educational program of the public schools.
