The history of the First Presbyterian Church is of special interest to Wichita, not only from a standpoint of its contribution to the betterment of the social and religious work in the community, but from a historical viewpoint. The history of the church is a story of the growth of the city as well as that of the church as they marched side by side, and kept pace with each other through the years.
