The ground-breaking was part of ceremonies held Friday morning. A number of students and faculty members also aided in the ceremonies. p. 1 -- "Could have danced all night" might have been the feeling of [illegible] students at the YWCA-sponsored Haul Your Man dance, but time [illegible] taken out of the dance to crown Belle and Bill of the Ball. They are Irene Jenkins, Gamma Phi Beta's candidate, and Harvey White, Miss Jenkins' escort. They reigned during the dance. The winner was chosen [illegible] the largest number of dance tickets sold by her sponsoring organization. About 200 students attended the dance. Miss Jenkins is a Liberal Arts freshman and White is an Engineering freshman. p. 1 -- Top 10 senior men were named at the Haul Your Man dance on the basis of their participation in the activity in which they were named "tops." They include, from left, Don Rude, Liberal Arts, Mr. Editor; Bill Keltner, Engineering, Mr. Collegiate; Ron Eeles, Education, Mr. Government; Don Lock, Education, Mr. Government; Don Lock, Education, Mr. Athlete; Cal Schwartzkopf, Education, Mr. Teacher; Butch van Dusen, Engineering, Mr. Military; Dave Henderson, Engineering, Mr. Engineer; Byron Hays, Liberal Arts, Mr. Scholar; Stan Haring, Fine Arts, Mr. Organizer; and Ken Warwick, Liberal Arts, Mr. Personality. They were selected by the senior members of the YWCA cabinet and the committee for the dance. Money realized by the dance will aid in sending YW members to a regional conference in June. p. 1 -- One of these four University women will be selected by the Young Republicans to represent them at the State Collegiate Young Republican convention in Hays next month. They include, from left, Shirley Sears, Delta Gamma; Corinne Molzen, Gamma Phi Beta; and Diana Brewer, Delta Delta Delta. In back is Bonnie Campbell, Alpha Chi Omega.
