Volpi is considered one of the best field goal kickers to grace a Shocker team in many a year. p. 4 -- Promising frosh: An unsung hero of the tough Shocker forward wall, which has been one of the features of a fine early-season record for the locals, is Kieth Doggett, massive right tackle. Doggett, who hails from Byers, Kansas, is a 220 pound junior, and is the heaviest regular on the squad. Handicapped by injuries early in the season, Doggett has now hit his stride and has been dealing out plenty of misery for Shocker opponents recently. p. 4 | |
