With today’s paper he concludes his work as desk editor. p. 1 -- Max Milbourn , a member of Alpha Gamma Gamma fraternity, has been announced as editor in chief of the 1937 Parnassus yearbook of the University. p. 1 -- Goulder winner is selected: Edwin Thomas, a graduating of senior in the department of journalism and a member of Alpha Gamma Gamma fraternity, has been named recipient for the Gouldner Award for 1936. Mrs. Rene Gouldner, right, established the award in 1933. It is based upon efficiency, co-operation, scholastic record, and journalistic achievements. p. 1 -- [Loy] Wood. p. 2 -- New fraternity presidents: These University men will head three of the school’s four fraternities during the first semester of next year. They include, left to right, George Griffin, Webster; Walter Feldner, Alpha Gamma; and John Beebe, Pi Alpha Pi. Cramer Reed, new president of Phi Upslon Sigma, is not pictured. p. 2 -- Sorority presidents for next year: With gavel in hand, these five young women of the University of Wichita are shown taking over the reigns of the school’s five sororities. They were recently elected to serve as presidents of the respective organizations during the first semester of the next year. Vanlman, Alpha Gamma Gamma; and Mrs. Myrtle Gottschalk, Phi Lambda Psi. p. 3 -- Track co-captain in field events: Gerhardt Elkermann, three year letterman in track, will be watchdog of the track squad’s destinies in 1937 in field events as one of the two co-captains selected this year. This is the first time such a policy has been adopted. Big "Ike: is from Fowler, Kans., and is a football letterman, as well as a basketball letterman. p. 4 -- Track events co-captain” Glen Nye, co-captain of the 1937 track team who will captain the track events. p. 4
