Photograph(s): New pledge: Miss Rosemary Jo Wentworth, junior at the University of Wichita this year, has recently been pledged to Alpha Tau Sigma sorority. p. 3 -- Editor: Miss Geraldine Hammond, a member of Sorosis sorority at the University of Wichita, who has been appointed editor of the Parnassus by the student board of publications. p. 3 -- Hornet grid mentor and two dependables: Coach Welch; McCoy; Rich: Shown above from right to left are: Coach Fran Welch, Elvin McCoy, and Gene Rich. Fran Welch has coached the Emporia Teachers to a championship and a second place in the Central conference in his two years as head grid mentor. Welch played football in college for the Hornets and later became director of the training school from which place he advanced to the position of head coach. Elvin McCoy, slippery liltle quarterback, is playing his third year on the Yellowjacket eleven. McCoy was chosen all conference quarter last season. Louis Koch, signal caller for the Shockers, and McCoy both come from the same town, Haven. Kan. Rich, from Hartford, Kan., is playing his third year for the Hornet team. p. 4
