Photograph(s): Mrs. Swartz dead: Above is pictured Mrs. Samuel E. Swartz who died last Friday at her old birthplace at Ruthin, Wales. Mrs. Swartz , as the wife of a prominent Wichita educator, formerly head of the chemistry department of Fairmount college [sic], was prominent in faculty circles. Dr. and Mrs. Swartz had just recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. p. 1 -- New student: Miss Mary Neff, daughter of Dean and Mrs. Frank Neff of 1625 N. Vassar, is enrolled as a Freshman in the University this year. p. 3 -- Class officer: Miss Ollun Ambrose, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ambrose of 3238 Oakland, who is a new student at the University and has been elected secretary of the Freshman class. p. 3 -- Bulwarks in Pittsburg line: Lewis; Roberts; Lance; Wilson: Shown above are several of the grid players that Wichita will go up against in their game Friday night on Brandenburg Field at Plttsburg. Lewis, at center, is a veteran and is sure to start the game. Wilson is a guard, has made two letters, and is a junior. Roberts, an end, is a sophomore, has made one letter, and was an all-conference choice for end on the second team. Lance, a tackle, has made two letters on the Gorilla squad and is a junior. p. 4
